Trinity Mirror plc, the UK's largest newspaper publisher,
announces that Joe Sinyor, Chief Executive, Newspapers, has resigned as a
Director and is to leave the company by mutual consent today.
The position of Chief Executive, Newspapers became redundant
following the appointment of Sly Bailey as Chief Executive, Trinity Mirror. Sly
takes up her role on 3rd February 2003.
Philip Graf, Chief Executive, commented: "I thank Joe very much
for his considerable contribution over the past two years during which time the
company has made significant progress in a tough market. We wish him every
