MGN Ltd announces today that Neil Wallis has decided to resign as Editor of The People.
Neil, who has been Editor for five years, informed us today that he is to leave with immediate effect to take up the post of Deputy Editor of the News of the World.
Deputy Editor of The People Alan Edwards will edit the paper as the process to appoint a successor begins.
Managing Director, National Newspapers Mark Haysom said: "Neil is a great editor and we are very sorry to see him leave the company. We wish him all the best in his new role."
