MGN Ltd has appointed Clare Dove as its new Director of
Advertising, with effect from Jan 1 2004.
Clare, 36, will be responsible for the advertising sales
operation of the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror and The People. She will report to
Ellis Watson, General Manager of MGN Ltd.
Clare was previously at IPC Media as Group Advertisement
Director of IPC Southbank, where she was responsible for 17 titles, including
Marie Claire, Homes & Gardens, Woman & Home and In Style.
During 15 years in the media industry Clare has worked for
various organisations including the Guardian Newspaper Group, Gruner & Jahr
and Capital Radio.
She began her career as a sales executive on Centaur
Communications' Marketing Week and, after holding further sales positions at
Centaur and The Guardian, joined Capital Radio as Key Accounts Manager.
Further moves followed, to Mills and Allen as Head of Client
Sales, to CLT UK Radio Sales as Head of Sponsorship and Promotions, and to
Gruner & Jahr as Advertising Controller of Best magazine.
Before being promoted to Group Advertisement Director of IPC
Southbank, Clare was Acting Advertisement Director, Fashion Group.
