Dominic Carter has been appointed as the new Director of
Advertising for MGN.
Dominic, 39, will be responsible for the advertising sales
operation of the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror and The People. He will report
directly to Ellis Watson, Trinity Mirror's Managing Director, National
Newspapers.
Previously Deputy Director of Advertising, Dominic has some 14
years' experience in newspapers, over four of them with MGN.
A Business Studies graduate, Dominic originally joined MGN in
2000 as Head of Client Services, and became Display Advertising Director in
2002. He was promoted to Deputy Director of Advertising in April 2004.
After a stint with News International in Australia, Dominic set
up the sponsorship sales division for The Times Newspapers Ltd before moving on
to MGN.
Ellis Watson said: "Dominic is an immensely talented newspaper
executive who enjoys great respect both within the company and throughout the
industry.

future."
Dominic Carter said: "I am delighted to have been given this

Street."
He takes up his new position immediately.
