Trinity Mirror has announced the appointment of Humphrey
Cobbold to the new post of Director of Strategic Development. Reporting
to Chief Executive Sly Bailey, Mr Cobbold, 38, will focus on strategic and
business development. He will also have operational responsibility for the
group's Sports Division, Magazine and Exhibitions and Voice Media.
Mr Cobbold is currently a partner with consultants McKinsey and
Company and has UK and international experience across a variety of business
areas and currently co leads McKinsey's media practice in London. He will join
Trinity Mirror in early summer.
