Trinity Mirror has been awarded the prestigious Gold Award on
its first entry into the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA)
awards scheme for occupational health and safety.
David Hoy, Group Health and Safety Manager, said: "Every part of
our business has contributed to this achievement and I am very pleased that some
tangible recognition has been obtained for all the dedication, hard work and
commitment of our staff.
"I would particularly like to pay tribute to the work of our
Health and Safety Managers, Coordinators, Safety Committee Members and Staff
Representatives, who with their colleagues at every level have implemented a
wide variety of health and safety initiatives in recent years to improve and
maintain our performance."
