Amra has been named National Sales House of the Year at the
Newspaper Society's Advertising and Digital Media Awards.
The prestigious awards are designed to showcase the best
advertising and digital media initiatives from the regional industry in the UK
and provide well-deserved recognition.
It is the third consecutive year that Trinity Mirror's national
sales house for regional newspapers has picked up the top prize.
Indeed, Amra has won the award in every year since it was
introduced to recognise the pivotal role sales houses play in enabling regional
newspapers to compete and succeed in the national advertising marketplace.
This year's judging criteria were changed to enable media
agencies, recruitment agencies and clients to comment on the national sales
houses' performance and over 2,000 agencies and clients took the opportunity to
place a nomination.
Gary McNish, Managing Director of Amra said: "To win an award
once is always a great thrill but to win it three years in a row is a huge
achievement and a great compliment to the entire Amra team.
"The fact that this year over 2,000 of our agency and direct
client customers voted is also a real endorsement of what Amra is doing."
Georgina Harvey, Trinity Mirror's Managing Director, Regional
Newspapers, said: "This award confirms once again that Amra is, in every sense,
the UK's leading national sales house for the regions.
"It's a tremendous achievement and a real testament to the
sustained excellence of the entire Amra team."
