Trinity Mirror plc announces today that it has agreed to sell
Berkshire Regional Newspapers, which forms part of its regional business in
London and the South East, for £10 million in cash representing a multiple of 1x
2006 revenues.
The business, comprising 14 titles, which includes the Reading
Chronicle series, is being acquired by Berkshire Media Group Ltd, a subsidiary
of The Dunfermline Press Ltd.
Trinity Mirror was advised by Rothschild in connection with this
sale.
