We are pleased to announce that Max Alexander will be joining Trinity Mirror plc as Managing Director of New Ventures and Strategy.
Max will take up his position on 22nd October as he joins Trinity Mirror from Thomson Directories, where he has been CEO since 2006.
The new role of MD of New Ventures and Strategy has been created to accelerate the development of Trinity Mirror as a multiplatform media business.
Max's responsibilities will include identifying, analysing and recommending appropriate opportunities, both via acquisition and launch, which will best drive growth and shareholder value. In addition Max will assume overall line management responsibility for the Group's acquired digital recruitment businesses with Andy Baker, Director of Digital Recruitment reporting to Max.

Max will report directly to the Chief Executive and will sit on the Executive Committee.
He has previously worked for Carphone Warehouse where he was Managing Director of CPW Telecoms, News Corp and McKinsey.
