The Daily Post Wales is launching a Welsh language news website for North Wales.
The website - www.dailypostcymraeg.co.uk - goes live today.
It will provide regular news updates from North Wales and will also carry the main headlines as stories break across the UK and further afield.
The site will include videos with Welsh language commentaries and interviews.
Visitors will be offered the chance to join Welsh language forums and to submit comments and blogs in Welsh.
Online columnists will include highly respected Welsh politial figure Dafydd Wigley. The former Plaid Cymru leader served as Member of Parliament for Caernarfon from 1974 until 2001 and was an Assembly Member for Caernarfon from 1999 until 2003.
The new website will sit alongside www.dailypost.co.uk, the Daily Post's highly successful English language companion site.
The site will be operated by Trinity Mirror's North Wales team based in Llandudno Junction.
Trinity Mirror North Wales publishing director Rob Irvine said: "The Daily Post is committed to supporting the growth of the Welsh language. We hope that visitors to the site will embrace the opportunity by sending us their stories and comments in Welsh.
"Our aim is to build a vibrant site that will prove popular with the hundreds of thousands of people who speak Welsh - and that is great news for anyone who cares about the Welsh language."
