Mirror Group's websites reached a total audited online audience of 8,693,581 unique users for the month of May.
The number of unique users grew by 80% compared to May 2008, while the site's audience grew by 1 per cent (96,618 users) on the previous month.
52% (4,487,510) of the audience are from within the UK, compared with 48% who are overseas users. Year-on-year the site's UK audience grew by 72% or 1,884,324 users.
