Pop superstar Prince boosted the sales of the Daily Mirror and Daily Record by 334,000 and 45,000 respectively when his eagerly-awaited new album 20
This was a combined weekly aggregate week-on-week increase sale of 379,000 for the two titles.
It was the first time that a new album by a major recording artist has been released and distributed exclusively in national daily newspapers in the UK and was one of the most successful marketing promotions for the Daily Mirror and Scotland's Daily Record in recent years.
