Our Regionals division operates an extensive and increasingly diverse portfolio of brands across print and digital media across Scotland, the North East and North West, Wales, Midlands and London and the South East.
We publish more than 150 regional newspaper titles, both paid for and free, and over 30 magazines. Our market-leading regional titles are supplemented in their markets by free morning Metro titles in Cardiff, Liverpool, Newcastle, Scotland and Birmingham, which extends our reach to a younger, urban audience that is highly appealing to advertisers.
The Managing Director of the Regionals division is Georgina Harvey.
Reaching a vast audience across the regions
On a weekly basis, we reach:
  • 79% of the adult population in our markets in the North West
  • 70% in the North East
  • 72% in the Midlands
  • 47% in the South
  • 79% in South Wales
  • 70% in Scotland

Portfolio Development
During 2007, we made significant progress in reshaping and diversifying the business. A strong focus on portfolio development saw the launch of over 50 websites, five new events and exhibitions, and a range of new print titles and books. Examples include new specialist magazines in the bridal, home interest and lifestyle categories. In addition, we delivered 10 brand relaunches of our core print titles.
Award-winning
The strength of our brands and highly motivated professional workforce was recognised by numerous industry awards in 2007. These include:
