MGN (Mirror Group Newspapers) Graduate Training Scheme
MGN's Graduate Training scheme is the most sought after and the best in the country. The combination of the Press Association16-week foundation course in Newcastle, the regional Mirror offices and the national papers at Canary Wharf provide a range of experience over three years that produces journalists ready to take their place in the best news rooms.
News and Features Editors on the national papers regard the trainees as productive members of staff from the day they arrive and by their third year many are filling the role of senior reporters.
We recruit twice a year for courses starting in September and January, the closing dates for applications being the end of May and the end of October respectively.
Candidates need to be of the highest standard and to be successful you will need talent, an understanding of newspapers and a portfolio of cuttings that demonstrates you have already made a strong commitment to journalism.
