Overview

A strong print portfolio

Our Regionals division publishes 18 daily, over 50 paid weekly and more than 70 free weekly titles, which sit at the very heart of the communities they serve and reach a wide cross section of ages, sexes and social grades.

A strong and growing digital presence

Our leading newspaper titles are complemented by a strong and growing digital presence. Our regionals division publishes more than 400 regional websites, attracting more than five million unique users a month and, in 2007, delivering digital revenue in excess of £30m. Our digital portfolio includes:

  • 66 newspaper companion websites, over 100 hyper-local community sites providing unparalled grassroots content and more than 140 local jobs, homes, motors and classified sites, which drive additional reach into local markets, from major cities right down to individual postcodes.
  • A 50% stake in Fish4, which publishes the UK's leading national job board, Fish4Jobs.
  • The UK's largest network of specialist job sites, including leading brands such as GAAPweb, TotallyLegal, TotallyFinancial, PlanetRecruitment, Secsinthecity and the careerengineer.
  • A growing national digital property portfolio, including Smartnewhomes, the pre-eminent site for new homes, email4property, the leading place to find local estate agents online, and homeoverseas, the seach engine for overseas property.
  • A rapidly-growing portfolio of mobile content feeds, giving our users regularly-updated local news and tailored information 'on the go'.

The combined strength of digital and print

The powerful combination of market leading print and digital products within core regional markets gives us a clear advantage over other media. Our multimedia approach significantly increases audience reach and the effectiveness of advertising.
